We are delighted to announce that the Chief Adjudicator for the 2016 contest will be Kevin Dell ONZM.

Kevin Dell
Kevin is former Director of Education and Life Member of BBANZ and was awarded the ONZM in 2003 for his services to brass bands and the community.
Kevin played Principal Cornet for Invercargill Band in the A grade for over 20 years and was selected to play with eight National Bands including three times as Principal Cornet. At National Contest level, Kevin has won three Bb Cornet Championships, Champion of Champions once, and was a member of five winning quartets and three winning duets. He conducted Invercargill band in the A grade for over 10 years winning two Own Choice sections at National level and the Otago and Southland Test Piece section every year. Kevin has managed four National Bands and spent over 30 years on the Management Committee of our National Association.
An experience adjudicator Kevin has judged at all of the District Contests except NMWC and Otago Southland where he has always competed. In 2013 he was Assistant Chief Adjudicator at the NZ National Contest. We welcome Kevin to Marlborough and are glad he has finally got the opportunity to add NMWC Provincial Contest to his list. Kevin's vast experience will be appreciated.

Jeffrey Mulraney
Jeffrey Mulraney
Jeffrey Mulraney will ably assist Mark with the junior solos and street march music. Jeff is well known in this district and at national level as an experienced and talented adjudicator, competitive euphonium and trombone player, and he is a member of BBANZ National Executive. Jeff is Performance Music Co-ordinator at Marlborough Boys College.
Robin Randall
Rob Randall
Robin is the Head of the Music department at Marlborough Girls' College, following a distinguished career with the New Zealand Army Band, serving in both New Zealand and Singapore. Rob is well known for his work with jazz groups and school choirs, as well as brass bands. He began playing the cornet in Dunedin at 6 years of age and is now proficient on brass, woodwind and guitar.

Duncan Whiting
Duncan Whiting
Producer Duncan Whiting will adjudicate the entertainment value and audience appeal of the entertainment section. Duncan has produced many first class stage musical and drama productions and has a keen ear and eye for presentation and detail. Duncan runs a very successful children's theatre in Marlborough.
